Chinese Cultural Figures (reporter Su Qing), May 10,The strategic cooperation signing ceremony of the National Library and DTXS Silk Road Investment Holdings Company Limited, together with DTXS Silk Road Investment Holdings Company Limited and the China Cultural Relics Exchange Center, was held in Beijing National Library. The signing signifies that the involved parties will work together to inherit and promote the excellent Chinese traditional culture, promote innovation in cultural undertakings and cultural industries, and achieve high-quality development.
The signing ceremony was attended by Xiong Yuanming, Director of the National Library, Tan Ping, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the China Cultural Relics Exchange Centre, and Lu Jianzhong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DTXS Silk Road Investment Holdings Company Limited, delivered speeches respectively. Wang Bin, Vice Chairman of DTXS Silk Road Investment Holdings Company Limited and Director of Tang West Market Museum, Wu Xiaosong, Deputy Director of the Heritage Tourism Division of the China Cultural Relics Exchange Centre, Shen Xiaojuan, Director of the National Library Research Institute (Business Management Division), Sun Boyang, Director of the Office, Lv Huijun, Director of the Business Management Division, Gu Heng, Director of the Exhibition Department, Chen Liang, Director of the Information Technology Department of DTXS Silk Road Investment Holdings Company Limited, Zhang Ying, Assistant Director of Tang West Market Museum, and experts, scholars and guests in related areas. Huo Ruijuan, Deputy Director of the National Library, presided over the signing ceremony.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, the three parties’ cooperation aims to implement the “Digital Silk Road” proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping in 2017, giving full play to their respective resources and advantages, and taking advanced technology and data elements as the driving force to build the “Cultural Digital Silk Road”. The “Cultural Digital Silk Road” will play its role in serving the construction of the “Belt and Road”, using advanced digital technology to enable the upgrading and high-quality development of the cultural industry as well as cultural and museum affairs, so as to better better promote the transmission and promotion of the excellent Chinese traditional culture and the spirit of the Silk Road embedded in the cultural heritage.
Lv Jianzhong first introduced to the guests the important progress made by DTXS Silk Road Investment Holdings Company Limited in promoting the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy. He said that DTXS Silk Road Investment Holdings Company Limited will take advantage of its R&D and application of digital technologies such as digital twin, virtual space, cloud computing, big data, blockchain, artificial intelligence, AR/VR/MR, etc. to help the digital construction of the National Library, promote the high-quality development of the digital cultural industry, and inject fresh impetus into cultural heritage and make it truly “live”. Taking the signing as an opportunity, DTXS Silk Road Investment Holdings Company Limited will take digital technology and data elements as the driving force to develop a multi-country chain, multi-lingual, multi-variety and multi-currency (the “four multis”) international cultural art registration, exchange, trading and circulation cultural trade platform-the “Cultural Digital Silk Road” which serves as an essential channel. It empower the transformation, upgrading and high-quality development of the cultural industry and the cultural and museums industry with advanced digital technology, to better inherit and promote the excellent Chinese traditional culture, to promote the exchange, trade and circulation of cultural artworks, to realize the international and domestic double cycle, to enhance the exchange and mutual appreciation of world civilizations, to deepen the international understanding, friendship and trust, promote international economic and trade cooperation, and jointly contribute to building a community of human destiny.
Tan Ping said that the Chinese Cultural Heritage Exchange Centre has actively participated in the construction of the “Cultural Digital Silk Road”, and makes full use of the development of digital information technology to innovate Chinese cultural symbols and spiritual identity, explore the interpretation and display of dissemination, deepen international exchange and cooperation in cultural relics and cultural heritage, explore the establishment of a digital cultural artwork cross-border trading and circulation platform, and jointly promote the high-quality development and construction of Belt and Road initiative with culture and digital power.
On behalf of the National Library, Xiong Yuanming extended a warm welcome to the guests. He pointed out that the National Library and DTXS Silk Road Investment Holdings Company Limited had reached a strategic partnership for sustainable development after thorough exchanges and discussions, and hoped that through close cooperation between them, they could explore an effective way to achieve coordinated development and positive interaction between cultural undertakings and cultural industries, and jointly make new and greater contributions to enhancing the country’s cultural soft power and forging new glories in socialist culture.
Huo Ruijuan expressed her congratulations on the smooth holding of the signing ceremony and highly endorsed the cooperation project of “Cultural Digital Silk Road”. She hoped that all parties would cooperate sincerely and give full play to their advantages to reach achievements as soon as possible.
The three parties will take this signing as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges and interactions, innovate cooperation models, achieve mutual benefits and win-win results, better protect, research, inherit and utilize the excellent Chinese traditional culture, jointly promote high-quality business cooperation in cultural undertakings, and promote the creative transformation and innovative development of the excellent Chinese traditional culture. In the future, the signing parties will work together to formulate specific cooperation plans and implementation programmes, and clarify the key areas of cooperation and specific tasks.
At the signing ceremony, the three parties reached a cooperation intention to further research and demonstrate the construction of a cultural display and exchange base of Chinese excellent traditional culture to foreign countries in the National South China Sea Cultural and Museum Industrial Park to help promote the construction of Hainan’s free-trade port.
